This parody project began in 2014 the old-fashioned way, with an illustration on paper of the beloved Bob Ross.
The idea was to create a coffee table book titled "Happy Little Hairdos" using Bob's face as an unchanging canvas while swapping his signature 'Fro for corn"fros" and "Fro"hawks.

Before anyone even heard the term "Bored Ape", Weinberg began revitalizing Happy Little Hairdos with an injection of blockchain technology. He quickly recognized the similarity between his original idea and the production of the "Cryptopunks" NFT.
